Community Parade

We wait for the fire trucks to roll in, their sirens muted but their presence commanding. We look to see firefighters wave from their polished engines, proudly wearing their dress uniforms as they pass the cheering crowds. Children dream of being just like them, knowing these brave souls protect their homes and families. They wait for candy to be tossed into the crowd, and scramble to catch these sweet treasures.

Next comes floats adorned with paper flowers, glittering streamers, and hand-painted signs representing our local businesses and organizations. Each float tells a story: the local flower farm displays a multitude of colorful blossoms, the local brewery with its antique fire engine and a career well-served, tractors and farm equipment remind us of our agricultural roots, the gleaming chrome of vehicles from days gone by speaks to the manufacturing might of our country, and the familiar music of our many talented musicians.

4:00pm
